On the afternoon of August 9, 2024, the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade led by Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang visited Cao Thang Technical College (CTTC). The delegation included leaders of the Department of Financial Planning, Department of Personnel Organization; representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's office and the Ministry's office in the South of Vietnam.
On the side of Cao Thang Technical College, the delegation was welcomed by comrades Le Dinh Kha - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of CTTC; Truong Quang Trung - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the School Council, Vice Principal of CTTC; Tong Thanh Nhan - Vice Principal of CTTC and comrades who are Heads and Deputy Heads of units in CTTC.
At the meeting, Principal Le Dinh Kha introduced to the Ministry's delegation the tradition of nearly 120 years of establishment and development of Cao Thang Technical College and he also presented a report on the school’s performance in several areas, including student recruitment, training, financial management, facilities, and equipment. In addition to the above-mentioned report, CTTC’s leadership highlighted a number of urgent challenges that need the Ministry’s support to resolve. These include the relocation of the dormitory at 931–937 Tran Hung Dao Street, Ward 1, District 5, which has deteriorated and is no longer safe for continued use, as well as the need for establishing a second campus to facilitate expansion, improve training quality, and enhance development capacity.
Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang acknowledged the efforts of the staff, lecturers and civil servants of Cao Thang Technical College, and praised the achievements that the School has achieved in the past time. The Deputy Minister directed CTTC to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, completing political tasks, aiming at the goal of expanding the scale of training, developing strongly and comprehensively. Also, CTTC needs to actively coordinate with departments, branches and sectors of Ho Chi Minh City to upgrade and expand facilities, relocate dormitories and have a plan to solve the needs of the secondary facility.
Comrade Le Đinh Kha, on behalf of CTTC, acknowledged and took note of the guidance from the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and expressed sincere gratitude to the Ministry’s delegation for visiting and working with the school. The Board directors will implement and promptly carry out the Ministry’s directives in the near future.
