Electrical And Renewable Energy Engineering Technology

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Within 2–3 years of graduation, graduates of the Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering Technology program are expected to demonstrate the ability to:

  1. Work as key members in technical teams responsible for operation, maintenance, SCADA systems at power plants, industrial zones, smart buildings, and renewable energy enterprises (PV, Wind, Hybrid systems, BESS).
  2. Undertake core technical roles such as technical consulting, inspection, system design and grid integration, construction supervision, and technical services in the fields of electrical engineering and renewable energy.
  3. Demonstrate professional autonomy, engage in lifelong learning, and adapt effectively to rapid advancements in emerging energy technologies.

SOs

Upon graduation, students of the Electrical and Renewable Energy  Engineering Technology program will be able to:

  1. Apply fundamental knowledge in engineering, mathematics, and technical skills, along with modern equipment and specialized software, to effectively solve engineering problems in relevant fields.
  2. Apply standards and measurement procedures to analyze and evaluate parameters of equipment and systems in specialized areas (solar power, wind power, hybrid systems, BESS, SCADA).
  3. Perform technical tasks such as installation, operation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems, wind power systems, solar PV systems, BESS, and digital substations.
  4. Proficiently use engineering tools and software (AutoCAD Electrical, PVsyst, ETAP, SCADA, PLC) to design, implement, and program applications for solar and wind energy systems with capacities up to 1 MW.
  5. Communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical environments; access, interpret, and utilize technical documentation; and read and understand English-language technical materials.
  6. Demonstrate essential soft skills, including teamwork, report writing, and professional presentation skills in engineering practice.
  7. Propose innovative solutions to technical and environmental challenges, and effectively apply communication technologies, IoT, AI, and intelligent control in energy management systems.
