On the morning of November 27th, 2022 at Cao Thang Technical College, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in collaboration with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Cao Thang Technical College organized "Ho Chi Minh City Youth Workers Skill Contest 2022 for Mechanics – Welding profession" for young workers working and living at union facilities under the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, to encourage the spirit of creativity, eagerness, and improve welding skills and teamwork skills. In particular, when the product completed, it will be used to serve the community. This was also the message to all participating teams.

The contest took place enthusiastically with the active participation of 14 teams from large companies, with teams of good welders operating in the field of Mechanical - Welding in Ho Chi Minh City. Along with the professional organization of the Youth Union and the highly qualified and experienced jury, currently teaching welding profession at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - Cao Thang Technical College.
Teams performed dramatic, exciting and stressful tests with high skills, creating products with high aesthetics, beautiful welds, in accordance with welding standards. All contest products were repaired and painted by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - Cao Thang Technical College. Then, hand over these products to the Youth Union before donating them to children's play areas for workers' children in Ho Chi Minh City.

Throughout the process of performing the test, the jury always supervised the participating teams to ensure safety, and to find teams worthy of winning high prizes in the competition. After 3 hours of taking the test, the products were completed.

The contest was a great success with awards including:
- THE FIRST PRIZE was the team from the Youth Union of Dai Dung Mechanical - Construction - Trading Joint Stock Company of the Business Union, Binh Chanh District;
- SECOND PRIZE was the team from the District 4 Public Service Company Limited, Youth Union of District 4;
- THIRD PRIZE was the team from Thap Kim Construction Mechanical Joint Stock Company Branch, Youth Union of Binh Thanh District;
- Consolation prizes were the following teams: Saigon Transport Mechanical Corporation - LTD Company - Samco Team 1; Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation - Samco Special Products, Binh Tan District; Branch of An Loi Production Trading Service Company Limited, District 11.
