From December 8 to 14, I had the privilege of participating in the Sakura Science Exchange Program coordinated by UBE KOSEN. I was honored to visit Japan and immerse myself in its rich education and culture. This special trip left me with profound impressions and unforgettable experiences.
Me in the interesting trip
Upon arriving in Japan, I immediately noticed the distinct organization and learning environment at the colleges within the KOSEN system. The students here are highly professional and dedicated to their studies. The KOSEN education system in Japan is an exemplary model that integrates theory and practice, equipping students with both solid knowledge and practical skills.
One of the things that impressed me the most was the learning atmosphere and the meticulous preparation of the school. The modern classrooms and advanced equipment are fully equipped to support both learning and research. The teachers are very dedicated and enthusiastic; they not only impart knowledge but also create opportunities for students to explore and develop themselves.
The picture was taken with Dr. Nakano Yoichi from UBE KOSEN, Mr. Thong, and students from Cao Thang Technical College.
The most interesting aspect of this trip was visiting businesses and research facilities, and meeting experts who broadened my horizons and deepened my understanding of the engineering field I am pursuing. I also had the opportunity to try typical Japanese food, participate in cultural exchange activities, and learn more about the Japanese lifestyle and working style.
I also had the opportunity to visit big companies in Japan, where technology and mechanical engineering are applied to the production of advanced electrical equipment and automobiles. At the electrical companies, I was introduced to the production processes, from design to assembly of modern electronic equipment. What particularly impressed me was the meticulousness and precision of the Japanese engineers. They pay attention to every small detail in the production process, from the use of raw materials to strict quality control steps. I was deeply impressed by their professional working spirit and commitment to product quality.
Additionally, during my visits to automobile companies, I observed modern manufacturing processes featuring automated lines, robots, and AI technology to optimize production efficiency. This experience highlighted the importance of technology in the mechanical industry and motivated me to further my knowledge and skills in this field.
This tour not only broadened my knowledge of mechanical companies but also deepened my understanding of innovation and creativity in the automotive and electrical industries. I was particularly impressed by the combination of technology and human expertise in product development at these companies. This trip motivated me to strive further in my studies and career, and I hope to return to Japan to learn and experience even more.
One of the most memorable moments of this trip was attending an engineering recruitment session at a large company. This gave me insight into the recruitment process and the strict requirements for candidates. The session was not just a test of knowledge but also an opportunity to demonstrate problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and teamwork.
I was interviewed by NHK
A special highlight was being invited to a direct interview with the recruiters. I felt both nervous and excited. The questions focused not only on professional knowledge but also assessed my adaptability and creativity at work. I shared my school projects and demonstrated the skills I had acquired.
From this interview, I realized that Japanese companies highly value not only professional knowledge but also soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. This made me more aware of the requirements I need to meet in the future, especially in an international working environment.
This recruitment and interview session was a valuable experience and a strong source of motivation for me to continue improving myself and preparing for my future career.
The Sakura Science Exchange Program in Japan was an unforgettable opportunity. The practical experiences at companies, engineering recruitment sessions, and exposure to Japanese education and culture opened up new perspectives for me, helping me better understand my career path. I feel extremely fortunate to have learned from talented and passionate individuals, and I realize the need to enhance both my professional knowledge and soft skills.
This trip not only helped me grow but also inspired me to strive continuously. I will keep learning and improving myself, and I hope to return to Japan one day to continue my career development journey.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the professors of UBE KOSEN and Cao Thang Technical College for giving me the opportunity to participate in this program. I am also deeply thankful to the students who accompanied me on this trip and helped create valuable opportunities. These memories will always hold a special place in my heart throughout my studies and future career.
