In 2024, one former Cao Thang student currently working at Intel proudly received the Ton Duc Thang Award from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation — an honor that recognizes outstanding contributions to the workforce.

      Among the many successful alumni, Mr. Au Luong, a graduate from the Faculty of Electrical –Electronics Engineering, Cohort 2007, stands out as a shining example. He is now the Engineering Manager at Intel Products Vietnam, after more than 15 years of dedication and hard work.

Starting as a Production Technician

      Mr. Au Luong began his career at Intel Vietnam as a Production Technician. During his early years, he was trained in advanced chip assembly and testing technologies, as well as safety and quality standards that meet Intel’s strict global requirements.

      After five years of hard work and strong performance, Intel supported him with both time and tuition to complete his university degree. Once he graduated, he successfully passed the interview to become an Engineer at Intel Products Vietnam.

      At this stage, he developed new skills in data analysis, machine operation setup, and equipment installation according to Intel’s high technical standards. His strong technical ability and continuous learning spirit helped him grow quickly within the company.

Becoming a Manager and a Leader

      After two years as an engineer, Mr. Luong was promoted to Technical Supervisor, where he learned more about people management and team organization. Later, he was given the opportunity to become a Production Shift Leader, responsible for managing and coordinating the production activities of an entire shift at Intel’s manufacturing plant.

     With years of experience in both engineering and management, he was promoted to Engineering Manager, the position he holds today. In this role, he leads the engineering team responsible for setting up, maintaining, and improving the chip assembly lines — helping ensure Intel Vietnam meets its world-class quality and efficiency goals.

A Source of Pride for Cao Thang

      Mr. Au Luong’s journey is an inspiring story of perseverance, learning, and growth. From a student at Cao Thang Technical College to a leader at one of the world’s top technology companies, his success shows the lasting value of a strong technical education and the determination to keep moving forward.

     His story is not only a personal achievement but also a great source of pride for the entire Cao Thang community — motivating current students to keep learning, keep improving, and confidently step into the global technology era.
